Time to Listen Training Course

FreeThis course will support you in your role as a club Welfare Officer and help to further develop your understanding of safeguarding within a tennis environment. This course is free and you will be refunded the booking cost upon successful completion of the course.
You are required to have completed a face to face LTA safeguarding workshop (or one approved by the LTA) within the last three years to book onto Time to Listen.
This course is designed to support you and your venue in the safeguarding and protection of children. You will learn about policies and procedures, and the different roles and responsibilities of everyone contributing towards the safeguarding of children.
The course involves a variety of exercises and activities in order to develop the skills necessary to implement best practice in your club.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Identify what makes a good welfare officer
- Describe how to make your venue safer
- Identify how to create a child centred environment
- Explain how the welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment
- Apply safeguarding procedures in your venue
Learners must be at least 18 years old on the day of the course.
The duration of this course is three hours including a break and will take place in a classroom environment.
Coaches and Officials can attend this course if they wish to, however will not receive any credits.
