Both the boys and girls teams had a long trip to Newquay to face their regional group competitors.
Saturday of the May Bank holiday weekend and what a day it was for our U14 girls Alex, Sophia, Ellie, Alice and Jess. The long 3 hour drive to Newquay certainly didn’t faze them as they swept away the competition overcoming Cornwall 6-0 followed by Devon 5-1, with some truly fantastic performances. As ever our girls showed guts, gumption and great team spirit across the day, each playing their part to bring home the medals.
Excellent work team. We’re very proud. A big thank you as well to all parents who took the time to take the girls – during this difficult year we couldn’t have done it without you so thank you for your continued support to the county, it’s greatly appreciated.
Excellent singles and doubles play by all involved with Avon winning both the boys and girls groups with fine wins over Devon and Cornwall.
