Building on last years implementation of robust safeguarding standards in all LTA registered venues the LTA has announced in next phase.
From 1 October 2019 all venues will need to ensure all level 3-5 coaches operating at their venue are LTA Accredited.
In holding LTA Coach Accreditation status it means that coaches will have completed the appropriate safeguarding training, first aid training and undergone Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks if working with children and vulnerable adults.
It is the intention to work towards all levels of coaches (1 to 5 inclusive) at registered venues meeting requisite safeguarding standards to ensure best practice is delivered across the entire coaching workforce.
