Great Britain’s Fed Cup team will face Kazakhstan at home in their upcoming World Group II Play-Off, taking place 20-21 April 2019. The Play-Off will mark the first ever head-to-head between the two nations.

The Brits will be boosted with confidence following a flawless week in Bath, which saw the team of Johanna Konta, Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, Katie Swan and Heather Watson win all of their ten matches against Slovenia, Greece, Hungary and Serbia in the Europe/Africa Group I competition.

The event – hosted at the University of Bath – represented Great Britain’s first home tie in over a quarter of a century and the team rose to the occasion to reach the World Group II Play-Offs for a remarkable fifth time in the last eight years.

Victory against Kazakhstan in April would mean Great Britain would return to the elite World Group level for the first time in 26 years and with home advantage on their side once more, the team will be set on rewriting the history books.
