Bishop Sutton Tennis Club is looking for a new Level 2+ coach.
Bishop Sutton TC is a club with a 700+ membership. We have 9 courts: 5 at Bishop Sutton (4 floodlit) and 4 at Chew Valley School (all floodlit). We are looking for a Level 2 or higher coach to join our very busy tennis team with 250 junior and 50 adults on the coaching programme.
Our junior coaching structure specialises in an U12 performance programme with big ambitions to have the highest number or junior players involved in Avon county training sessions. This year we had 18 players in the Avon County structure but only 3 making the teams, and we want to improve this.
We also pride ourselves in an amazing retention of our teen players, especially girls (30+), one of the largest teen girls structures in the county and we are looking to do the same with our teen boys by maintaining participation and retention amongst the 13+ boys.
Our adult coaching is still a rather untapped territory, although we run club sessions, cardio beginners sessions, we are looking to change and run more adult coaching groups in the week.
The right candidate will be offered 15 hours of group coaching (mainly juniors) and unlimited access to our membership to build up their individual coaching portfolio. Groups are paid £12-18/h and individual coaching £18-£30/h depending on level and experience.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in coaching all age groups, from mini to teens, school tennis and adult coaching.
The success of our programme is due to great teamwork within the coaching team, and outstanding and uniquely successful cooperation between coaches and the club committee.
