This is a repeat of January’s daytime session, for those who could not attend.

Safeguarding leads at Avon Tennis would like to invite you to update safeguarding for your club, in line with the LTA’s new introductory course for ‘Safeguarding Training for Committees.’

When: 7pm, Monday 7th March 2022

It takes the form of a short video and a positive discussion of the topics raised in the video. The training is designed as a top-line overview of safeguarding in tennis to:

– highlight how concerns should be raised

– what support is available and

– practical tips to promote a safer place to play.

– Specifically, the session will cover the types of abuse which can happen, safeguarding roles, responsibilities and how to promote a safe venue.

The session includes practical information and examples should help you and your club ensure that standards and practices are consistent with LTA guidance, and in turn give children and vulnerable adults, club members and prospective members the reassurance that they can play in a positive, safe environment.

This training will be facilitated by the Avon Tennis Safeguarding leads and Stuart Parsons, the South West Regional Safeguarding Lead, will be on hand to answer questions that arise.
