Saltford Tennis’ Peter May, won the LTA Volunteer of the Year award for both Avon and then the South / South West Regional Award. Peter was invited to spend a day a special day at the The Rothesay Open Nottingham Tennis Tournament.

Peter’s day started with his award presentation by David Rawlinson, LTA President. Following that, Peter was seated for his first tennis match, and then went on court with David, before enjoying lunch and more tennis matches.

The LTA awards were set up to highlight the incredible achievements and contributions by people in the tennis community.

When you nominate in the LTA Awards, you are giving nominees the chance to win for the county, regional and national awards and to receive once in a lifetime experiences. Previous winners have had days out at Queens, Wimbledon, tossed the coin on court with tennis stars and even invited to the American Embassy Cocktail party!

Remember these opportunities when the LTA awards come around again this autumn. You could really make someone’s day.
